Distribution: Mainland New Guinea; Kairiru and Admosin Isls ( Papua New Guinea); Misool and Salawati Isl (Prov. of Papua, Indonesia).
Conservation: IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) – Rare as N. aello, No Data : Limited Distribution as N. celaeno . IUCN 2003 – Lower Risk (nt) as N. aello ; Vulnerable as N. celaeno .
