Notes
The body surface is almost entirely covered in spines of varying lengths that tend to be thicker and longer towards the dorsal surface of the main body. The main body appears in a dark red with white spines. Maximum recorded size: 6 cm across. Cidaroida fam. indet. sp. 2. appears similar, but that species has spines longer than the width of the body (Fig. 142 View Figure 142 ).
