Type material. Holotype ( Figs 13 View FIGURES 9–16 , 27 View FIGURES 24–27 ): male, [SW China, N Yunnan, Lijiang ] “Li-kiang. ( China). Provinz Nord- Yuennan, 29.V.1935. H. Höne ” / “Sammlung Daniel”, slide ZSM Arct. 2019-950 Volynkin (Coll. MWM / ZSM).

Paratype: female, the same locality and collector, but 3.VII.1934, slide ZSM Arct. 2020-047 Volynkin (Coll. MWM / ZSM); 1 male , China, NW Yunnan, Tuguancun, road Zhongdian / Lijiang , May 25–29, 2004, Huang leg. (coll. AFM) .

Diagnosis. Forewing length is 17.5 mm in the holotype male and 18.5 mm in female. Ghoria mubupa sp. n. ( Figs 13, 14 View FIGURES 9–16 ) is similar externally to G. sinotibetica ( Figs 11, 12 View FIGURES 9–16 ), but differs by its paler forewing ground color, slightly paler male hindwing and whitish female hindwing with a grey suffusion along the costal margin only (such a sexual dimorphism is characteristic for G. albocinerea also ( Figs 9, 10 View FIGURES 9–16 ); in G. sinotibetica , both sexes have dark wings with only slightly paler female hindwing). The male genitalia of G. mubupa sp. n. ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 24–27 ) differ from those of G. sinotibetica ( Figs 24–26 View FIGURES 24–27 ) by the shorter vinculum, broader valva (similar to that of G. synnefo sp. n.), slightly more elongated and broadened aedeagus, the presence of a large subbasal diverticulum (absent in G. sinotibetica ), the broader subbasal chamber of vesica bearing a broader field of slightly longer spinules, the longer and broader medial section of vesica, and the larger distal diverticulum bearing more robust spines. The female genitalia of the new species ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 32–36 ) are most similar to those of G. dammay sp. n. ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 32–36 ), but differ by the more rectangular antrum, the slightly longer medial membranous part of the ductus bursae, the shorter anterior spinulose section of corpus bursae, and the slightly narrower corpus bursae. Compared to those of G. sinotibetica ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 32–36 ), the female genitalia of G. mubupa sp. n. differ clearly by the broader antrum, the longer ductus bursae, the presence of a postero-lateral protrusion of corpus bursae, the broader non-scobinated area of corpus bursae situated on the left side (that is narrower and situated on the right side in G. sinotibetica ), and the longer signum bursae.

Distribution. The species is known from the northern part of the China’s Yunnan Province.

Etymology. In the Yunnan mythology, Mubupa is the god, who created the earth.
