NOTES: G.Lister (1911: 62) wrote “This minute species has been gathered on three occasions by Mr. Kumagusu
Minakata, in the province of Kii, Japan, amongst moss on the bark of fallen branches”. In BM there is only one box BM
2986 from Japan, that we designate as a lectotype, as it is mentioned in the second edition of the monograph (G.Lister
1911). There is also a slide K.M. 215, with the same data as BM 2986 and illustrated in notebook XXX: 14. Another slide K.M. 215 Ais illustrated on page 9 of the same notebook but it may be from a different sample. Other slides K.M.
148, K.M. 366 and K.M. 423 are from later.
In K (http://apps.kew.org/herbtrack/results) there are two samples with material from Japan, K 87 (on fallen branches, 1906, noted as Holotype, K. Minakata 148, with reference to notebook XXV: 25), and K 227439 (on dead bark of Sterculia platanifolia , 1907, noted as Type?, K. Minakata 148, with reference to notebook XXV: 25), that were collected before the material in BM.
