NOTES: Farquharson & G.Lister (1916: 130) wrote “On dead leaves and sticks, Ceylon and Nigeria. This species was first collected in 1910 near Trincomalee, Ceylon [now Sri Lanka], by Mr. E. Ernest Green, the Government Entomologist, who brought it to the Government Mycologist, Mr. Petch …” and “ The numerous gatherings of this obtained at Ibadan [ Nigeria] by Mr. Farquharson in the spring of 1915 fully establish its constancy; …”. In BM there are 3 boxes BM4003 ( Ceylon) , BM 3683 ( Nigeria) and BM 4002 ( Nigeria), with data that are referred to in the original publication. We chose Nigeria ( BM 4002 ) as the lectotype as it was in better condition and representative of the species, and was also used to illustrate the new taxon (Tab. 541. Figs. 2, 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d). We think BM 3683 is an isolectotype since all the data coincide with specimen BM 4002 . In notebook XXXVII: 12–14 there are comments and illustrations of the Nigeria material and in notebook Petch: 141–144 of the specimen from Trincomalee ( BM 4003 ) .
