Pap[ilio] Helicon[ius] bellona Cramer, 1775: 20 , 152, pl. 13, figs E, F [original plate 45 figs C, C] (junior homonym of Papilio bellona Fabricius, 1775 [ Nymphalidae ] [ICZN Opinion 516 (1958) gave priority to Fabricius 1775 names over Cramer 1775 names]). Surinam.

Material examined. No potential Cramer specimens located.

Current status. Invalid senior subjective synonym of Archonias brassolis (Fabricius, 1776) ( Lamas, 2004b) .
