Pap[ius] Helicon[ius] eumelia Cramer, 1780a: 157 , 174, pl.280, fig. D [original plate 249, fig. C]. Surinam (Baron Rengers).

Papilio View in CoL Heliconius eumelia, Stoll, 1782b: 7 [No. 68].

Material examined. No potential Cramer specimens located. There is a possible syntype in RNHL (G. Lamas, pers. comm.) .

Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Moschoneura pinthous (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Lamas, 2004b) .
