DIAGNOSIS. Body-length 6–7 mm. Proepisternum is covered with setulae at middle or in anterior part. Anepisternum covered with setulae along dorsal margin and in posterior part only, without setulae posterior to anterior spiracle. Katepisternum with a single strong seta in upper posterior corner. Scapular setae absent. Postpronotal lobe anteriorly without erect spines. Fore tibia without spinules ventrally. Male femora of mid and hind legs strongly thickened in the central part ( Figs 43 View Figs 38–43 , 126 View Figs 124–128 ). Male tibiae of mid and hind legs with 3–4 very long and strong setae posterodorsally in basal half ( Fig. 42 View Figs 38–43 ). Vein R 1 bare. Male sternites 4 and 5, epandrium, cerci and surstyli as in Figs 66 View Figs 61–67 , 91, 92.
REMARKS. One species of this genus has been recorded in Russia — S. kunzei (Zetterstedt, 1821) . The species was recorded in Russia from the European part and Siberia by Gorodkov [1970, 1986] without indicating specific locality.
