Type locality. Tucumán and Salta, Argentina.

Remarks. The species is known only from Argentina and has been reported from Tucumán, Jujuy, and Salta Provinces ( Berg 1879; Hayward 1942; Torres 1946; Hayward 1960; Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Goemans 2010). We collected specimens in Salta Province. The species was collected in the middle levels of the Yunga floristic province ( Sanborn et al. 2011a).
