Type species. Cicada stigmata Germar, 1834 ( Brazil).

Remarks. Our records are the first for the genus in Argentina. The genus is known from Argentina, Brazil, French Guiana, Guatemala, and Panama ( Metcalf 1963c; Ramos and Wolda 1985; Sanborn 2010b; 2011b; 2013).
