Body color yellow. Antennal segment III with setae shorter than the length of the segment. Dorsal setae with acute apex. Pronotum with a pair of sclerotized blotches. Abdominal tergite II with a pair of spiracles; segment IX sclerotized laterally, setae D1 length 10–17 microns; X completely sclerotized ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 22–42 ); segment X with six anal setae shorter than the segment length. Spiracles with one or no pores on facets. As with H. bicinctus , no specimens have been examined from Brazil or Argentina. Information on morphology was based on specimens from banana from Central America in USNM.
