Body color yellow with abdominal segments III–IV pale with red internal pigment; head and pronotum sometimes light brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–15 ). Antennal segment III with setae slightly shorter than the length of the segment. Dorsal setae with acute apex. Pronotum with no sclerotized blotch. Abdominal tergite II with no spiracles; segment IX sclerotized laterally, X—strongly sclerotized; segment X with six anal setae about 3x longer than the length of the segment ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 22–42 ). Immatures of this polyphagous species have been collected from several states and hosts from Brazil, such as Liquidambar styraciflua and Theobroma cacao (CHNUFPI) .
