Notiphila indica Krivosheina, 2001: 81 View in CoL ; preoccupied by Notiphila indica Wiedemann,
1824: 58.
REMARKS. Name Notiphila indica Krivosheina, 2001 proved to be a primary junior homonym of Notiphila indica Wiedemann, 1824 . The latter species now belongs to the genus Actocetor Becker, 1903 ( Cogan & Wirth, 1977). Type material of Notiphila indica includes 16 males from India and Pakistan; the holotype taken from the Indian province Assam ( Krivosheina, 2001). Replacement name for Notiphila indica refers to the type locality of the holotype.
I thank Dr. Wayne N. Mathis for the information about homonymy. The investigation was fulfilled within the state project No FFER-2024-0018.
