Type Locality: Panama, Darien Prov., Tacarcuna, 4200 ft (1280 m).
Vernacular Names: Fulvous-bellied Climbing Rat.
Distribution: Easternmost Panama.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: Possibly a subspecies of T. mirae according to Cabrera (1961) or a synonym of T. panamensis according to Handley (1966 a).
