Material examined.

Holotype: female, Indonesia, Sumatra N, Huta Padang , 13.ii.2002, leg. and genit. prep. 4546 M. Fibiger. Coll. MF, to be deposited in ZMUC.

Diagnosis.

Wingspan: 11 mm.

Forewing: brown.

Transverse lines: black; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.

Reniform: distinct, yellow, outlined by black.

Hindwing: unicolorous brown with an indistinct black discal spot.

Underside: unicolorous brown.

Female genitalia.

7 th abdominal segment: heavily sclerotised, asymmetrical.

Anterior apophyses: length 1½ of posterior apophyses.

Position of ostium bursae: slightly above middle of 7 th segment, displaced to left.

Antrum: heavily sclerotised, basally narrow, medially abruptly broader until posterior end.

Ductus bursae: membranous, long, twice as long as corpus bursae.

Corpus bursae: globular.

Appendix bursae: arising anteriorly from ductus bursae immediately after antrum.

Differential diagnosis.

P. silaui differs from the other species by having antrum divided into two cylindrical tubes of different width. Pollex (Bilobiana) balabaci Fibiger, new species

Material examined.

Holotype: male, Philippines, Balabac , Dalawan Bay, 10.x.1961, caught in Malaise-trap, leg. Noona Dan. Exp., 1961-62, genit. prep. 3539 M. Fibiger. Coll. ZMUC.

Paratypes: 1 male with same data as holotype, but and genit. prep. 3503 M. Fibiger. Coll. MF .

Diagnosis.

Wingspan: 11 mm.

Forewing: narrow, blackish-brown.

Transverse lines: black; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.

Reniform: distinct, whitish grey, outlined by black.

Hindwing: unicolorous dark grey with an almost invisible black discal spot.

Underside: unicolorous dark grey.

Hindleg: with large, black scent tufts.

Male genitalia.

Tegumen: narrow.

Vinculum: short, stout.

Saccus: U-shaped, short.

Fultura superior: dorsally and ventrally Y-shaped with long narrow arms, fused medially with tegumen, ventrally with juxta-anellus, and to basal part of valve.

Valve: shorter than wide.

Ampulla: long, club-like, subapically ventral directed; densely setose with long hair-like setae bent inwards. Pollex : long, finger-like, broadest medially; densely setose with long hair-like setae bent inwards.

Digitus: huge, tapered, curved, directed ventrally, apically pointed.

Juxta-anellus plate: round, as wide as high.

Phallus: long, bent at ductus ejaculatorius, curved and tapered towards apex; coecum short and broad.

Vesica: with a long, slightly curved, spine-like cornutus.

Differential diagnosis.

P. balabaci differs from the other species by the shape of the fultura superior and the long, curved cornutus.
