Material examined.

Holotype: male, [ Indonesia], Java, Pekalongan, leg. v. Devert, [18..]. Coll. RMNB.

Paratypes: 8 males: 1 with same data as holotype; 2 [ Indonesia], Java, 1878; 2 [ Indonesia, Djakarta], Java, Batavia , 1881. Coll. RMNH . 1 [ Indonesia], W Java, 1891, genit. prep. 3938 M. Fibiger. Coll. ZMAN . 2 [ Indonesia], W Java, Paroengkoeda , -. iv.1938, leg. J. Westenberg, ex. coll. W. K. J. Roepke. Colls. MF, RMNH .

Diagnosis.

Wingspan: 8–9 mm.

Forewing: narrow, blackish brown.

Transverse lines: black; terminal line marked by black dots between veins.

Reniform: distinct, yellow, outlined by black.

Hindwing: unicolorous grey, with an indistinct black discal spot.

Underside: unicolorous grey.

Male genitalia.

Tegumen: narrow.

Vinculum: short, stout.

Saccus: V-shaped, short.

Fultura superior: Y-shaped with long narrow arms, fused medially with tegumen and ventrally with juxtaanellus.

Valve: shorter than wide.

Ampulla: long, finger-like, broadest subapically; densely setose with long hair-like setae bent inwards. Pollex : long, finger-like, slightly broader subapically; outwardly densely setose with long hair-like setae bent inwards.

Digitus: asymmetrical; huge, tapered, curved, directed ventrally, apically pointed; right ampulla stouter and more curved than left.

Juxta-anellus plate: round, as wide as high.

Phallus: long, slightly bent, slightly tapered towards apex; coecum narrow (broken in the reparation illustrated).

Vesica: with a prominent, straight, spine-like cornutus.

Differential diagnosis.

Compared with P. laosi and P. flavimacula , P. parunkudai differs by the asymmetrical digitus, slightly bent phallus, and shorter cornutus.
