Holotype:— HKAS: 112210

Saprobic on dead wood. Sexual morph: Ascomata 460–540 µm high, 520–640 µm diam. (x̄ = 500 × 580 μm, n = 5), semi-immersed to superficial, globose to subglobose, solitary or in groups, black, smooth, easily removed from the host substrate, apically ostiolate. Hamathecium composed of numerous, 1–2 μm wide, branched, septate pseudoparaphyses. Asci 140–180 × 10–15 µm (x̄ = 160 × 12.5 μm, n = 20), bitunicate, fissitunicate, cylindrical, apex thick-walled containing a narrow, inversely funnel-shaped, ocular chamber with a short pedicel. Ascospores 22–32 × 7–10 µm (x̄ = 27 × 8.5 μm, n = 40), 8-spored, uniseriate, partially overlapping, broadly fusiform, initially 1–3-sepatate, muriform when mature, initially hyaline, dark brown at maturity, deeply constricted at the median/primary septum, slightly constricted at the remaining septa, upper part wider than the lower, ends remaining cone-shaped, verruculose, guttulate, lacking a mucilaginous sheath.
