Distribution. Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia (north, north-west and centre of European part, Siberia, Far East), Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland.
Remarks. Rhamphomyia (H.) sciarina (R. (H.) flava group) is one of the most widely distributed species of Holoclera but it is absent in southern regions. In the European part of Russia, R. (H.) sciarina occurs from the extreme northern regions (Murmanskaya Province, Nenets AO) until Voronezhskaya Province on the south. The species extends to the east as far as Amurskaya Province of Russia (Far East) and is the only species of R. ( Holoclera ) that occurs on Taymyr Peninsula (Dudinka).
