9. Anaceratagallia (Anaceratagallia) ribauti (Ossiannilsson, 1938) View in CoL
Figs. 191–193 View FIGURES 189–203 , 204–213 View FIGURES 204–227
Anaceratagallia (Anaceratagallia) lithuanica Vilbaste, 1974: 150–151 View in CoL . Syn. n.
Description. Penis narrow, with denticulate ventral margin in basal part or in middle, parallel-sided throughout almost its entire length, slightly expanded only at transition to base ( Figs. 204, 206, 208, 210 View FIGURES 204–227 ). Male anal collar appendage with bifurcate tip ( Figs. 205, 209, 211 View FIGURES 204–227 ); sometimes one denticle reduced ( Fig. 207 View FIGURES 204–227 ).
Biology. In Moscow Oblast was collected on dry meadows and glades.
Calling signal. Signals of two males from Moscow Oblast (Serpukhov Region, environs of Luzhki Village , dry meadow with xerophytic vegetation on the bank of Oka River , 31. VII. 1993, recording at 23 oC) were investigated .
Calling signal consists of phrases lasting for 7–10 s ( Fig. 191 View FIGURES 189–203 ). Each phrase includes two parts differing in syllable pattern and repetition period ( Figs. 192–193 View FIGURES 189–203 ).
Distribution. All of Europe, Turkey (Istanbul), Central and Southern European Russia, Crimea, Northern Caucasus (Black Sea Coast, North Ossetia), Transcaucasia ( Georgia, Azerbaijan), Southern Urals.
Remarks. The drawings of A. (A.) lithuanica Vilbaste, 1974 by Vilbaste (1974) (reproduced as Figs. 212–213 View FIGURES 204–227 ) exactly match our specimens from different regions of Europe and the drawings of A. (A.) ribauti in Ossiannilsson (1981) . According to the original description, A. (A.) lithuanica differs from the closely related A. (A.) ribauti by the more slender penis with basal part of stem not broadened ( Vilbaste, 1974: 150). In fact, it is precisely in these traits that A. (A.) ribauti differs from A. (A.) fragariae Mityaev, 1971 . Since A. (A.) fragariae was described from Kazakhstan, it was difficult to assume that it can be found in Europe. For this reason, Vilbaste, apparently erroneously, considered A. (A.) fragariae as A. (A.) ribauti and described true A. (A.) ribauti as A. (A.) lithuanica .
