Habitus Fig. 7 View FIGURES 2 – 7. 2 . Length 0.80 mm. Colour: yellow brown, antennae and legs dusky yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 length 0.45 mm long, segments 9–11 together longer than 3–8, with long projecting setae, Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20 – 25 . Width across eyes 0.22 mm. Mentum slightly tapering inwards towards base and with slightly swelling sides in basal third.
Pronotum: length 0.19 mm, width 0.28 mm, lateral margins angled, Fig. 16 View FIGURES 14 – 19 . Elytra 0.55 mm long, 0.41 mm wide, pubescence a little shorter and more decumbent than on the pronotum. Etymology. Named after Dr Elisabeth Darby, my wife, who has graciously put up with the beetles for more than thirty years.
Diagnosis. Differs from all other Cissidium except elongatum on the long and narrow elytra but distinguishable from that species by the longer terminal antennomeres with longer setae.
Type material. Holotype: ♀, GPS 32, BOL / Nov 2013/09, BOLIVIA 2013 SANTA CRUZ dep., W Amboro NP, Siberia Pass env., 2450m, 28.xi., S. 17°50'12" E.64°42'08", sifting litter, Winkler app. extr., P. Baňař lgt.. ( UASC). Paratypes: ♀, same data as holotype ( MMBC); ♀, GPS 31, BOL / Nov 2013/08, BOLIVIA 2013 SANTA CRUZ dep., W Amboro NP, Siberia Pass env., 2481m, S. 17°50'25" E.64°41'58", sifting litter, Winkler app. extr., P. Baňař lgt.. ( BMNH)
