Recognition characters: Black species; length 17–22 mm; mystax black, face slightly gray pollinose; thorax subshining black, vestiture black; scutellum black; wings black; abdomen black; legs and vestiture black. Distribution: PLATTE: Gray Rocks Ranch, Camp Guernsey, WANG, 25 June 2008 ( CSU, GMAD). Habitat: Grama-needlegrass-wheatgrass grassland vegetation type. Ethology: Nothing known. Prey: None known.
