Geographical distribution: United States in the Nearctic region to Brazil in the Neotropical region. Material from Cuba: Pinar del Río, Soroa, no date, Alayo leg., few specimens (ESI) ( Alayo 1974). Habitat: on river sand banks or leaves of floating water plants.
