Notes.
1. Coleus kisanfuensis De Wild. was unplaced in Paton et al. (2019), because the original materials had not been found. The materials were misfiled in BR as “ Coleus hockii De Wild. ” (which is Coleus betonicifolius var. kasomenensis (De Wild.) Meerts & A. J. Paton ). The specimen [ BR 0000008109613 ] indeed bears a label handwritten by De Wildeman as “ Coleus hockii De Wild. ”, but this is obviously a mistake, because the protologue of C. kisanfuensis clearly refers to C. buchananii , not to C. betonicifolius .
2. Lectotypification of Coleus kisanfuensis De Wild. De Wildeman (1921 b) cited two syntypes, i. e. A. Hock s. n. (syntype BR [ BR 0000008109613 ]), DR. Congo, Kisanfu, Sep 1911 and A. Hock s. n. (syntype BR [ BR 0000008732835 ] and [ BR 0000008730572 ]), Elisabethville [Lubumbashi], Sep 1911. The three sheets match the protologue. We designate [ BR 0000008730572 ] as the lectotype because it does not bear the erroneous name Coleus hockii De Wild.
