Comments

This species was described from the male sex only; the female is unknown. Brethesiella coccidophaga probably belongs to the latifrons species group. It may be a synonym of one of the described Argentine species of Brethesiella , but that would be difficult to show without access to the type material of both B. coccidophaga and B. longipes , and without freshly collected specimens reared from known hosts in Argentina.
