Paralimnophyes Brundin, 1956 View in CoL
Paralimnophyes trilineatus (Lundström, 1915) was reported from Alaska by Cranston & Oliver (1988) as Paralimnophyes arcticus Brundin, 1956 View in CoL (i.e., junior synonym) based on three males found in the USNM collected by P.D. Hurd in late June at Utqiagvik, Alaska. This is the only species with known larvae inhabiting eutrophic lowland pools and ditches (Andersen et al. 2013). Brabets & Ourso (2013) reported collecting Paralimnophyes View in CoL larvae from streams draining abandoned and reclaimed mined lands in Denali National Park and Preserve. Paralimnophyes View in CoL larvae were also reported from Arctic coastal lakes (AWQMS 2005).
