Chernovskiia Saether, 1977 View in CoL
We collected a pharate male pupa of Chernovskiia amphitrite ( Townes, 1945) from the Yukon River delta in early July. This is a new faunistic record for Alaska. The larvae of this species likely inhabits sandy areas of large rivers based on collection of the adults described by Townes (1945) from American Island of the Missouri River near Chamberlain, South Dakota and the reports by Saether (1977b) from USSR, Mississippi, Savannah and Sacramento Rivers in the USA.
