Type specimens. Two syntypes ( AMNH) collected by R.T. Schuh and B.M. Massie, 4–7 April 1985, at the Universidad National Autonoma de Mexico Field Station at Chamela, Jaliso, Mexico. The site is approximately 59 km (36.9 mi) N Barra de Navidad on Highway 200, the coastal highway.
Diagnosis. With the characters of the genus.
Habitat. The syntypes and only known specimens were recovered from a berlesate of subtropical thorn forest litter at roughly 30 m (98 ft) elevation.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality.
