Type. Holotype: ♀, Jianfengling , Hainan, China, 21.V.1997, Li Wen-Zhu ( IZCAS).

Distribution. Hainan (Jianfengling) and Hong Kong, China.

Notes. Chen and He (in Chen et al., 2002) erroneously placed this species in Prosceles Uvarov, 1940 [A junior synonym of Abrosoma Redtenbacher, 1906 placed in family Aschiphasmatidae Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 ]. Ho (2013g: 99) transferred it to Lopaphus Westwood, 1859 based on adult morphology and egg structure.
