Resembles A. arcuata sp. nov. externally.
Abdominal apodemes small and broad, extending to posterior margin of 3rd sternite.
Male genitalia: Pygofer with about 2 macrosetae at cephalo-ventral angle of lobe ( Fig. 5a View FIGURE 5 ); apex of dorsal appendage bifurcated, scissor-shaped ( Figs 5b, c View FIGURE 5 ). Style with apical tooth curved, longer than subapical tooth, inner margin of subapical tooth serrated ( Figs 5d, e View FIGURE 5 ). Aedeagal shaft with pair of apical processes moderately long; preatrial process long, apex truncated, surpassing gonopore; gonopore central ( Figs 5f, g View FIGURE 5 ).
Measurement: Male 2.45mm.
Material examined: Holotype: ♂ [ NWAFU], CHINA: Yunnan Prov., Menglong , 24.xii.1999, coll. Qin Daozheng.
Remarks: This new species is similar to A. bauhinicola Dworakowska & Viraktamath , but can be differentiated from the latter by: pygofer dorsal appendage with two teeth equal in length, apical tooth of style longer than the subapical one, apical processes of aedeagal shaft shorter, apex of preatrial process truncated in ventral view and dorsal apodeme nearly as long as aedeagal shaft.
Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ curvus ”, referring to the curved apical tooth of the style.
