Habitat in Virginia. ♃
Planta polymorpha. Flores facie Cucubali dioici albi, at saturate rubri; Calyces angustiores quam in congeneribus, hirsuti. Stamina cum stylis extra florem prominentia. Caulis nunc simplex digiti longitudine, terminatus floribus in fasciculum collectis, nunc pedalis apice trichotomus, pedunculo intermedio semper unifloro. Folia oblonga s. lato-lanceolata, ut in Gomphrena prima.
