Rhombacus eucalypti Ghosh & Chakrabarti, 1987: 58 .
This species, described from India, was first recorded in Colombo, Paraná, Southern Brazil by Flechtmann & Santana in 2001, from Eucalyptus tereticornis Sm. View in CoL , E. grandis W. Hill. View in CoL and E. camaldulensis Dehnh. View in CoL in a greenhouse.
It is now reported on a fouth species of Eucalyptus , from the State of São Paulo.
Specimens examined: many females and males, vagrant on leaves of E. urograndis (a hybrid of E. urophylla S.T. Blake and E. grandis ), in an open field stand, in Mogi Guacu, São Paulo, October 2001, coll. Dalva L.Q. Santana.
Eriophyes pyri ( Pagenstecher, 1857) : 58
The pearleaf blister mite is worldwide in distribution and is confined to pear. It is known from Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil ( Parseval, 1939).
More recently it was collected in the State of Santa Catarina.
Specimens examined: 12 females from pear, Pyrus communis L., 19 January 2000, Frei Rogério, Santa Catarina, coll. I. Nora.
