Type material
Type material could not be located in any major Italian museum (see acknowledgments) and is presumed lost. The type locality is the Mediterranean Sea, Port of Messina , Gulf of Naples .
Remarks
Stebbing (1888: 1624) suspects that this may be V. jeangerardi , but the description of Natale is insufficient to verify this, and the figures represent a rather bizarrelooking Vibilia .
