Distribution: India: Jharkhand, Karnataka, Odisha, Southern India and West Bengal. Elsewhere: Sri Lanka (Chandra, et al., 2014, Pawara, et al., 2021).

Host Plant: Bombax malabaricum , Helicteres isora , Sterculia urens , Sterculia villosa and Grewia tiliaefolia (Robinson, et al., 2001).
