Specimens examined. JAPAN. 2♂, Gifu Pref., Takayama, Hirayu , 1670 m, 17–VIII–2017, leg. S. Wu ( TFRI) ; 1♀, Nagano Pref., Myoujin, Kamikouchi , 27–VIII–2 0 10, leg. Y. Kishida (CHN) ; 1♂, Nagano Pref., Matsumoto , 1500 m, 16–V–2015, leg. S. Wu & W. C. Chang ( TFRI) ; 1♀, Yamanashi, leg. K. Yazaki (CKY).
Diagnosis. This species is similar to L. shiushioui sp. nov. but can be distinguished by the dentate forewing postmedial line of the latter species. The band-like cornutus is longer in L. erectaria .
Distribution and bionomics. Japan, Korea and Russia ( Choi 2012; Beljaev 2016). Sato and Nakajima (1987) reported the host plant to be Hydrangea (Saxifragaceae) .
