Lindneromyia Kessel, 1965 View in CoL View at ENA

The structure of the mature larva of the genus Lindneromyia resembles that of Platypeza Meigen, 1803 and Paraplatypeza Kessel & Maggioncalda, 1968 , but it has only the median pair of dorsal processes on each segment. The puparium is formed from the cuticle of the last larval instar and thus bears all larval cuticular structures. The length and maximum width of puparia are very similar to mature larvae. Numbering of segments follows Chandler (2001): No. 1–3 (sg1–3) thoracic segments (pro-, meso-, metathorax), 4–11 (sg4–11) abdominal segments.
