Gymnorhamphichthys bogardusi Lundberg, 2005: 2 View in CoL , figs. 1, 2b. Type locality: Venezuela, Delta Amacuro State, Río Orinoco, 114 n mi from sea buoy in Boca Grande GoogleMaps navigation channel, 8°36’N, 61°45’W. Holotype: MBUCV-V 32800 ; 178 mm TL.
Distribution: Mainstream of Orinoco River and its tributaries draining the llanos, Venezuela ( Lundberg, 2005).
Remarks: Gender of the species name changed to reflect the stated etymology in the original description.
