Longiantrum quadra Fibiger View in CoL , new species

Material examined. Holotype: male, N Vietnam, Tonkin, Cha pa, leg. Gételot, 1920–1932, coll. L. & J. De Joannis, Museum Paris, genit. prep. 3946 M. Fibiger, coll. MNHM.
Paratype: male, N. Vietnam, Da Lat , near institute, 10.xii.1994, leg. S. Mahunka, Gy. Sziraki & L. Zombori, genit. prep. 5927 M. Fibiger, coll. HNHM .
Diagnosis. Imago (external). Wingspan: 10 mm.
Head, patagia, anterior part of tegulae, prothorax, basal part of costa, costal part of medial area, and terminal area, including fringes: dark brown, costal medial area quadrangular.
Forewing ground colour: yellow; with brown patches, especially along subterminal and terminal lines.
Crosslines: absent, except indistinct beige subterminal line.
Terminal line: marked by black interneural dots.
Reniform stigma: indistinct, ovoid, white.
Hindwing: light grey, fringes beige.
Underside: forewing light brown, hindwing light grey.
Male genitalia. Tergite: Y-shaped plate present (apo.).
Tegumen: narrow throughout.
Vinculum and saccus: very stout, three times as broad as tegumen.
Saccus: short; broadly U shaped.
Valvae: broadest at ¾; strongly asymmetrical; right valva larger; dorso-basally with small, thornlike process (apo.).
Clasper: barlike, along valva margins (apo.).
Ampulla: bilobed; prominently asymmetrical; left one larger and longer; lobes at valva almost straight ventrally; posteriorly rounded; each shaped as ¾ of a circle (apo.).
Digitus: tiny, triangular.
Juxta: trapezoid, medially narrowest, heavily sclerotised (apo.).
Anellus: prominently asymmetrical, relatively short, clublike, on right side with pointed process (apo.).
Phallus: extremely long; straight anteriorly; S-curved and coiled clockwise from ductus ejaculatorius; coecum short, apically rounded (apo.).
Vesica: armed with tiny cornuti.
Differential diagnosis. L. quadra differs from other Longiantrum species in:
- broad beige subterminal line;
male genitalia, in
- vinculum and saccus very wide, loglike;
- ampulla shaped as ¾ of a circle, asymmetrical;
- anellus short, clublike;
- phallus like a moving snake, broadest at coecum.
Distribution. L. quadra known only from N Vietnam.
