Afrotropical, recorded from almost all sub-saharian countries, from Senegal to Uganda ( Olmi 1984, 2006; Olmi and Copeland 2011; Olmi et al. 2015), in addition to Madagascar ( Azevedo et al. 2010). Newly recorded from Central African Republic here.
