Aphlugiolopsis truncata View in CoL sp. nov.
ȒJfięẽ
Figure 4 View FIGURE 4
Description. Male. Body medium. Face ovoid. Fastigium verticis conical, dorsal surface with a median furrow, apex obtuse ( Fig. 4A–B View FIGURE 4 ). Eyes subglobular, projecting outwards. Apical segments of maxillary palpi almost as long as subapical ones, apices slightly inflated ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ).
Anterior margin of pronotum slightly arched, posterior margin narrowly rounded; lateral lobes longer than high, narrowing backwards, humeral sinus indistinct ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ).
Procoxae swollen with 1 spine on each side. Ventral margins of all femora without spine. Protibiae with 4 pairs of spines and 1 pair of apical spines on ventral surfaces; protibial tympana opened on both sides, ovoid. Mesotibiae ventrally with 5 pairs of spines and 1 pair of apical spines. Posttibiae with 23–28 internal spines and 24–27 external spines on dorsal surfaces, ventral surfaces with 2 internal spines and 5–6 external spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs.
Tegmina slightly beyond the apex of abdomen, apices obtusely rounded. Hind wings slightly shorter than tegmina ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ). Ninth abdominal tergite narrowing; tenth abdominal tergite significantly projecting, posterior margin rounded with slightly concave in the middle ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ). Cerci long and stout, basal area with 1 triangular process on interno-dorsal margin, ventral margin of the process with 1 digitate process; apical half compressed, the internal margin oblique, apices obtuse ( Fig. 4C, D View FIGURE 4 ). Subgenital plate with basal half obviously wider than apical half, the lateral margins convex and then narrowing, obviously constricted in middle area; apical half with subparallel lateral margins, ventral surface with median furrow, both sides swollen; subapical area curved ventrad, posterior margin almost straight ( Fig. 4L View FIGURE 4 ). Styli cylindrical, densely setose, its apices obtuse, inserted at the ventral swollen of subgenital plate. Genitalia sclerotized.
Female. Unknown.
Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Eyes black. Antennae with blackish ring on each segment. Dorsal surface of head and pronotal disc with 1 pair of longitudinal brown stripes, between the stripes lighter. Apical areas of all femora brownish. Basal and apical areas of all tibiae brownish. Tegmina yellowish brown with blackish posterior margin.
Material examined. Holotype: male, Yuanbaoshan, Rongshui , Guangxi, September 8, 2021, coll. by Jing Liu
Measurements (mm). Body: ♂ 7.7; pronotum: ♂ 4.5; tegmen: ♂ 6.2; postfemur: ♂ 8.0.
Distribution. Guangxi (Rongshui).
Discussion. The new species is very similar to Aphlugiolopsis punctipennis Wang, Liu & Li, 2015 in appearance, but differs from the latter by the interno-dorsal process of male cerci obviously stout and faintly compressed; apical half of male subgenital plate not obviously narrowing, posterior margin wider instead of narrowly rounded ( Fig. 4L View FIGURE 4 ).
Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from the male subgenital plate with posterior margin truncate.
