Synonym: Hypalocrinus liliaceus Clark, 1909b: 150 ; Teliocrinus asper Döderlein, 1912: 22 (pars.); Comastrocrinus liliaceus, Clark, 1912: 257 ; Teliocrinus monarthrus Clark, 1928: 365 .
Diagnosis: Subspecies of T. springeri with smooth arms at least beyond their proximalmost part, arm syzygies with a regular radial crenularium, usually more than 11 (62%) internodals per noditaxis, relatively thick internodals (H / D> 0.40, up to 0.79 in juveniles), and cirri that are usually shorter than in the other subspecies.
