Cyclorhipidion californicum ( Wood, 1975)
New record. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: California, Calaveras County, 4.8 km S. West Point , 27-29.vii.1981, Stanley C. Williams (1, CASC) .
Distribution. United States (California).
Discussion. Wood (1975) described this species collected from Palo Alto, (Santa Clara Co.), California in 1944 and an additional paratype from Knight’s Landing (Yolo Co.) in 1949. This species was previously known from the type series ( Smith & Cognato 2022). This specimen from Calaveras County is the only known nontype specimen. This species is undoubtedly Asian but has yet to be reported outside of California. Smith & Cognato (2022) provide further discussion on the history of this species.
