Lysilinga chamela Webb View in CoL spec. nov.
( Figs. 362, 372, 382, 392, 402, 412, 422, 432, 442, 448)
Etymology
This name is used as a noun in apposition and refers to Chemala, Mexico, the area from which many of the specimens have been collected.
Diagnosis
Lysilinga chamela is taxonomically associated to L. digita in lacking setae on the katepisternum; in having the abdomen dark reddish brown; in having the halter knob dark brown; the dorsocentral macrosetae absent; the hypoproct quadrate ( Fig. 362); the male frons lacking setae; the anterior half of the male ejaculatory apodeme broadly expanded laterally and flattened dorsoventrally in crosssection (Fig. 412); and the female abdomen dark reddish brown, glossy with pruinescence gray on the posterolateral area of tergites 2–3, and gray laterally on tergites 5–6. Lysilinga chamela differs from L. digita in having the gonocoxite in lateral view (Fig. 392) rectangular with the apex rounded and the distiphallus (Fig. 412) tapered apically.
