TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil .
DISTRIBUTION: N Bolivia (?- beniensis ); SE and EC Brazil.
STATUS: CITES - Appendix II; IUCN - Vulnerable.
SYNONYMS: beniensis ?, bicolor , clamitans; guariba, Humboldt, 1812 ; iheringi; ursinus É. Geoffroy, 1812 .
COMMENTS: A. guariba (Humboldt, 1812) may be the correct name for this species. A. " fusca " beniensis may actually be A. seniculus ( Mittermeier et al., 1988:13-75) .
