DISTRIBUTION: Between the Brahmaputra and Salween rivers in Assam ( India), Burma, and Yunnan ( China).

STATUS: CITES - Appendix I; U.S. ESA - Endangered; IUCN - Vulnerable.

SYNONYMS: choromandus , fuscus , golock , hulock, leuconedys , scyritus .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Bunopithecus .
