Figs 26 View FIGURES 20 – 31 , 101–108 View FIGURES 101 – 108
Coloration and structure similar to K. varia .
Male genitalia: Ventral pygophore process slender, of uniform width in middle section, with oblique furrow crossing entire width of process in basal half, dorsal surface of region beyond this with minute denticles for short distance, abruptly but smoothly curved dorsad, widened to form “foot,” and “heel,” finely, minutely crenulate, apex acutely pointed, surface of “toe” region longitudinally rugose. Style with apophysis of type 1. Aedeagus more elongate in lateral view broadest at basal 0.33, then narrowed, dorsal margin more strongly curved compared to ventral margin almost straight in middle 0.5 length, basal area of concave dorsal margin finely denticulate, apex bluntly pointed; in caudal view, shaft of uniform width but abruptly widened near apex, with minute spicules.
Measurements: Male 10.40 mm long, 2.50 mm wide across eyes, 3.20 mm wide across hind margin of pronotum.
Material examined: Holotype ď, India: Kerala: Walayar [forest], 15.viii.1979, Shashidhar Coll. ( UAS).
Remarks: K. walayari has a more slender and elongate aedeagus with spicules near apical region; the ventral pygophore process is also unique in having an oblique furrow and denticulate dorsal margin. It externally resembles K. varia but differs in the shape of the aedeagus and the ventral pygophore process.
