Taxonomic note: Oberea ocellata Linsley & Chemsak, 1995 was recently synonymized Oberea ulmicola Chittenden. However , this is not to be confused with the current species described by Haldeman.
Distribution: MA to central FL to eastern TX to MN. Kentucky specimens are from the eastern half of the state ( Interior Plateau and Western Allegheny Plateau; Map 123).

Collection methods: Malaise trap (11); collected from Festuca (1), Smilax (1)
Larval host plants: Celtis laevigata , Cornus florida , Carpinus caroliniana , Morus rubra , Rhus spp. and Ulmus americana ( Monné & Nearns 2022d)
Comments: Adults have been collected by beating Rhus and Toxicodendron in Michigan ( Gosling 1981).
