Eupogonius pubescens LeConte, 1873 View in CoL ; Desmiphorini [new state record]
Distribution: PA to FL to AL to IL to MI. This species is so rarely collected that it is difficult to determine its range. Bezark (2022) lists its range as north-central US, whereas Yanega (1996) lists it as a northeastern US species. Lingafelter (2007) did not cover this species and the USNM does not have specimens (Eugenio Nearns, pers. comm.). There are specimens in the FSCA from FL, MI and PA, in Robert A Androw’s personal collection from AL and PA and in the INHS from IL. Of the two Kentucky specimens, only one had locality data (Kentenia State Forest) in the southeastern part of the state (Central Appalachians; Map 059).
