Distribution: Southern PQ and ME to northern GA to northern MI. Kentucky specimens are all from the southeastern quarter of the state (Central and Southwestern Appalachians ecoregions; Map 030).

Larval host plants: Acer saccharinum , Carya , Castanea , Fagus ferruginea , Fraxinus , Juglans nigra , Liriodendron tulipifera , Magnolia acuminata , Malus , Prunus and Quercus spp. ( Monné & Nearns 2022b)
Comments: This is only one of a handful of lepturine genera that have nocturnal species attracted to lights.
