Comments: There is a dot in northeastern Kentucky for the map of this species’ range in Chemsak (2005), which was repeated in Bousquet et al. (2017) and Monné and Nearns (2022b). While Chemsak (2005) acknowledges Charles Covell (University of Louisville), this species was not among the U of L collection donated to the UKIC. While we have seen no Kentucky specimens, ( Hoffman 2003) reported that the “occurrence of the species in Wise County (High Knob region) [of Virginia] virtually assures that it will be found in eastern Kentucky ”. Attracted to lights. Adults feed on pollen of male pine cones ( Bousquet et al. 2017).
