Taxonomic note: This genus was recently revised by Hammond and Williams (2011) who described this species.
Distribution: OH to GA to eastern TX to eastern NE. The lone Kentucky specimen was collected at the intersection of 3 ecoregions in eastern Kentucky (Map 028).

Comments: Callimoxys species are rarely collected in Kentucky. This literature-only record ( Hammond & Williams 2011) was a dot on a distribution map with no specific locality information. The senior author provided us with the locality info to include in the dataset.
